We are a Swiss association that supports restaurant and hospitality professionals in their sustainability efforts in Switzerland.

Our Actions

We are implementing concrete initiatives to support catering and hotel professionals in their sustainability actions in Switzerland

01. Support for local producers

We work with more than 30 Swiss suppliers to strengthen short circuits. 40 cents per franc collected are reinvested in the local economy via orders from partner restaurants.

02. Planting trees in Switzerland

Since 2021, we have planted more than 9,200 trees in Switzerland with Almighty Tree. These days bring together restorers and experts to restore our forests and raise awareness about biodiversity.

03. Sustainable Entrepreneurship Grants

In 2025, we are launching grants to support Food Entrepreneurs who contribute to the restaurant value chain through local and sustainable production. These grants will finance the launch of their activities and the industrialization of their projects.

In 2024

Thanks to the participation of restaurateurs, hoteliers, and partners, we raised nearly 200,000 CHF in donations in 2024. Concretely, this means:

  • 80,000 CHF reinvested in the local economy through our network of suppliers

  • 3,450 trees planted in Switzerland

  • 80+ establishments involved in the network

How does it work?

The principle is simple! Partner establishments apply 1 Franc for the Climate on a carafe of water or an item on their menu.

Planting trees is also a story of moments spent together. Year after year, restaurateurs and hoteliers come together, shovel in hand, to see this project grow. Today, more than 9,200 trees have been planted in French-speaking Switzerland – and counting!

Our Network

More than 80 restaurants in French-speaking Switzerland are committed to collecting “1 Franc for the Climate” with the help of their customers. These funds are directly reinvested to support the local economy, finance tree planting and award scholarships for sustainable entrepreneurship.
